Seniors
– A Session with Style
You
are only a senior one time. In fact, you will most likely
see yourself as you look in your senior pictures for the rest
of your life. Careful planning will create beautiful memories.
- Make
a list. Think about items that will show your personality
and bring them. Sports equipment and uniforms, as well as
your car, truck, musical instrument, or just about anything
else is welcome. Remember to plan ahead with your coach
if you have to pick up your uniform. Jewelry, socks, shoes,
and YOUR SENIOR RING are the most typically forgotten items.
A list will save the day. Plan ahead.
-
Plan your hair and/or makeup. Don’t
suddenly change your hairstyle, color, or get a different
cut two days before your session, and DON’T wear tons
of makeup if you typically do not. If you are having your
hair or makeup done professionally, make a trial run to
be sure you like it before the day of your session.
-
Avoid too much sun. The camera makes sunburn
look worse. Don’t plan your session immediately off
a vacation to Florida, and be careful of planning too many
tanning sessions close together.
- Clothing
is critical to success!! You don’t have to
go spend a thousand dollars on clothing to look great!!
The following is a general guide, but if it doesn’t
fit your personality, then ignore every bit of it. The main
idea is that your senior pictures reflect YOUR PERSONALITY.
Typically, you will photograph best in solid colors, and
sleeves. Most Seniors bring something dressy, something
semi casual, and a couple of casual outfits. AND, even in
hot summer, long sleeves and sweaters are beautiful especially
if they are solid. – Don’t forget that favorite
jacket either.
-
Want to hide ten pounds? Wear darker solid
colors and materials that do not cling to your body. Sleeves
and collars work miracles too. Avoid stripes and prints
because they add perceived weight.
-
The perfect picture! Our job is to photograph
you at you very best. If you don’t like the left side
of your face, your nose bugs the fire out of you, or if
you have acne issues…. Tell us. Virtually everyone
has imperfections, and there are tricks to minimize most
of them. However, if we don’t realize something is
a problem for you, we can’t work to minimize it. We
want you to absolutely love your pictures, and we’ll
make every effort to ensure that you are thrilled.
